As we give glory to the Lord and declare His praise…
Along the crest of a hill stood the Lord Jesus, in full armor and strength. Beside Him on both sides was a line of armored soldiers. Silent, and ready; gazing eagerly at the valley below. The Lord charged down the hill with a war cry that stirred the troops. Immediately soldiers poured down the mountain with Him like a mighty current. Rows and rows of soldiers, which I could not originally see behind the mountain, ran with their King down the hillside to engage in warfare.
The battle began with swords clashing to the beat of the music as the forces of evil met the Lord’s army in the valley. The battle had begun. Jesus was anything but restrained and quiet. He was fierce and zealous.
As the battle waged, I saw the Spirit in the heavens above the valley. The Lord cried out and the Spirit began to descend, like a serene mist. The mist slowly consumed the atmosphere and finally hit the battling soldiers. It’s impact was like a bomb.
Then the fighting seemed to be all around me. Before I had been watching it from a distance, but now I was surrounded by swords and sweat and blood. The Lord Jesus’ voice, full of zeal, bellowed above the volume of the battle and I found myself jumping from my seat and screaming out loud too. I could not help it. I clenched my fist and realed it in the air screaming. I looked around and saw how the Spirit of God was affecting the war and I yelled out, “we’re win-nning!” The forces of the enemy were dwindling and I yelled again, “This is a song of VICTORY!!”
lyrics
Pour Out
My spirit's grieved
I need relief
bring Your presence
bring Your presence
Bring the release
of all that troubles me
send Your Spirit
send Your Spirit
chorus
Holy Father pour out
pour out on us,
pour out on us,
Your Spirit
bridge: Isaiah 42:12-14a
Let them give glory to the Lord
And declare His praise in the coastlands
the Lord shall go forth like a mighty man;
He shall stir up His zeal like a mighty man of war.
He shall cry out, yes, shout aloud;
He shall prevail against His enemies
I have held my peace a long time,
I have been still and restrained Myself.
Now I will cry like a woman in labor, I will pant and gasp at once
